Delta Laminates is proud to announce that the business has once again achieved re-certification under the Achilles BuildingConfidence scheme.

The whole business was recently subject to a rigorous 2-day audit; one of the toughest and most comprehensive audits undertaken in the construction industry. Achilles was originally founded in Norway in 1990 within the oil and gas industry, with the goal of helping purchasing organisations identify, assess and monitor suppliers throughout the supply chain. The aim was to reduce operating costs, as the information can be shared with other business during pre-contract qualification.

Achilles has evolved to now encompass a wide range of industries in over 23 countries. It is now synonymous with reliability and quality. In March 2018, Achilles became members of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and in April 2019 became a recognised assessment body for the new Common Assessment Standard (CAS). The extremely thorough audit assesses Delta’s performance in the areas of Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility. The company’s quality management system is fully evaluated, followed by meticulous on-site assessment to check that systems are correctly followed. Once again, Delta passed the Achilles audit with flying colours.

Delta’s Head of Business and Health & Safety, Chris Sedgwick, reflected on the latest accreditation by saying “The achievement of passing the most demanding Achilles BuildingConfidence audit to date, demonstrates our overriding commitment to quality management within the business. Every single employee is fully engaged in fulfilling this commitment and deserve recognition for their hard work and dedication to providing their very best to every one of our customers”.
