Developed in 2018, the Lancashire Constabulary West Division HQ in Blackpool, is a modern day state-of-the-art facility that will provide specialist policing to the Fylde coast, Lancaster and Morecambe.
Replacing the outdated Bonny Street Police Station, the new HQ is equipped with some of the latest technology and specialist services. Including a base for local neighbourhood police and immediate response teams, an extensive investigation hub, as well as a 42 cell custody suite.
The investment into the new facility is the biggest in the history of the constabulary and will accommodate current staff at Bonny Street.
We saw off strong competition to win this order back in July 2017 and worked closely with the main contractor Willmott Dixon to discuss the project in more detail. Based on the customers requirements, we designed, manufactured and installed products from our waterproof and robust Impact Cubicle range, as well as Corian Vanity Units and attached panel systems (APS) to complement the washrooms. We also provided fitted furniture, including staff kitchens, a bespoke reception counter and specialist facilities for the custody suite.
In total, we manufactured and provided around £200,000 of products for the new policing facilities in Blackpool. It was a huge pleasure to work with Willmott Dixon on this project.
Project Manager for Delta Laminates, John Hall said “We took great pleasure in working alongside Willmott Dixon to provide this prestige police facility. We managed to provide a large array of products for this project, which were tailor made for this project only. Providing this amount of bespoke items was extremely challenging, yet very rewarding when complete.”
