There are a number of regulatory requirements for commercial office washrooms. The provision and minimum number of toilets and wash basins is contained in the The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and associated Approved Code of Practice. There are further legal requirements regarding access, particularly for wheelchair users and ambulant disabled persons. This is contained in The Building Regulations Approved Document M.
